Export CSV Settings

 

The platform allows you to customize your file export. You can rename your file, configure your choices to export indexed, pick which column headers to display, and much more. Below is a detailed outline of each of the export feature settings.

 

General Settings:

CSV Name

  • This feature allows you to change the name displayed in the exported file

Export Choices as Indices:

  • This feature allows you to export question choices in a Sliding/Range Scale,Checkbox, and Single Choice as an index.
  • The first value in the question set will be indexed as 0 and the second value will be indexed as 1, and so on.
  • This is based on the order of choices set in adding new questions.

View Choices as Separate Variables

  • This feature will create a column for each choice.
  • The platform will code the entry as a 1 if the respondent chose it, or a 0 if they did not.

Allow Disabled Question Responses to be Exported

Export Open/Close Timestamps for PDF Attachments

View Latitude and Longitude as Separate Variables

  • This feature separates latitude and longitude into separate columns.

Export the location of the user at time of response submission

  • This feature will create a column displaying latitude/longitude of a participant upon survey submission

Export Range Scale Questions as:

  • Step Value
  • 0-1 Raw Slider Position
  • Step Number
  • Choice Text
  • Choice Index


Question Timestamps:

Export Questions Answered and Updated Timestamps

  • This option allows you to toggle the questions answered and updated timestamps pertaining to a response

Export the Location of the User at the Time of Response Submission

  • This option allows you to toggle whether to view the latitude and longitude of where the participant submitted the response

 

Column Headers:

Use Variable Names for Column Headers

  • This feature will provide the option to use variable names for column headers
  • Instead of using the default question type header, you will have the option of importing custom variables from the questions themselves (changing the question variable name when adding questions), or creating new ones
  • These variables will now become the column header when the CSV is exported

Export Device Information

  • This feature will allow you to select or de-select certain columns pertaining to device information
    • (Device OS, Device OS Version, App Version)
  • The feature will also allow you to assign custom variable names to these column headers if you desire
  • De-selecting these columns is a good idea if this data does not pertain to your overall study

Export Trigger Data

  • This feature will allow you to select or de-select certain columns pertaining to trigger data
    • (Trigger Name, Trigger Type, Trigger Time, Trigger Index)
  • The feature will also allow you to assign custom variable names to these column headers if you desire
  • De-selecting these columns is a good idea if this data does not pertain to your overall study
