What is a User ID?

This is a unique code that is generated for your profile upon signing up with the app. The code is used in place of identifying values like names in order to keep your information as anonymous as possible.

Although you have submitted your email address to the researcher for recruiting, they will not be able to see that information associated with the id tag. This adds an air of anonymity for participants.

However, the researcher does have the option to turn off anonymity and match the user Id to participant email addresses. In the event that your personal information is being collected by the researcher, they have the responsibility of notifying participants.
